2020 NSW Premier’s Kingold Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship Announced

The ACFEA congratulates Ye Liang from West Ryde Public School, the recipient of the 2020 NSW Premier’s Kingold Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship.

The scholarship was presented by the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian at an event on the 28th of August 2019. Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning, Sarah Mitchell and Secretary of the NSW Department of Education, Mark Scott were also present.

The $15,000 Scholarship will allow Ye Liang to undertake a 5-week study tour in Australia and overseas, researching bilingual immersion which in turn provides an opportunity to change the face of bilingual language education across NSW primary schools.

Dr Chau Chak Wing, ACFEA’s Founding President and the Kingold Group Chairman, has sponsored the NSW Premier’s Kingold Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship since 2005.
